Jake Wesley Rogers
Jake Wesley Rogers
Inspired by a torrent of coming-of-age questions, curiosities and change, Jake Wesley Rogers returns with bold new music - knitted from a montage of memories forming a spiritual connection with his audience.
Soulful vocal melodies, driving musical arrangements, and artful lyricism are where Jake Wesley Rogers' shines - the sum cascading forward in striking compositions. The results quiet a room - making an immediate appeal to the soul. Rogers' age is starkly contrasted with his immensely powerful lyrics and equally rousing singing voice - evoking constant comparison to Sam Smith, Elton John, and James Blake. Writing striking love songs unabashedly with male pronouns, he is set apart in both the US south and the commercial pop songwriting world.
Jake Wesley Rogers’ musical journey began in his younger years, influenced and fuelled by the vocal powerhouse artists of the time (Adele, Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga). But the adventure he now embarks on is a true voyage of discovery, rendered in song with earnest honesty. What was once a young man finding his way through solitary expression, now emerges an artist embracing a new future standing on the shoulders of his own younger self.
Brasko
Brasko
Brasko moved to Nashville from Akron, Ohio in 2011 at the age of 19. Young, and without many connections, he spent lots of nights on friend’s couches or even sleeping in his own car. Now 25, and working with hit-producer Cason Cooley, it’s safe to say Brasko has made his own way to his own sound in The New Nashville. Obsessed with old Todd Rundgren and David Bowie records, Brasko incorporates all his quirky influences—like cabaret and Burt Bacharach—into modern tunes he he hopes will be the background music to your next night out dancing, falling for someone special, and perhaps even making love.
