Benjamin Poss is a singer-songwriter in Nashville. His latest single “Vulture” is a raw take on the dance house sound. It captures many layers of emotion and is another glimpse into his next level artistry. Benjamin’s first studio album, Brainwashed, was released in the Fall of 2017 in spark of the political climate, social movements, and the fight for acceptance going on presently. It includes the Billboard featured single, Blood + Guts, Skin and Just a Dream.
 He is an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and plans to make a difference through performing and connecting with people across the world.
Britty is a boisterous pop artist, passionately expressing colorful lyrics with energetic layers of nostalgia. The Montreal native released her first music video "Unveiled" which generated a lot of buzz with a feature on Vevo. Britty was also the first Canadian contestant on NBC The Voice, after graduating from Berklee College of Music and recording in Nashville for several years. She has since sang anthems for NHL, F1 Grand Prix, and MLS and has been featured on Canadian television, Montreal radio and Pat Monahan’s “Train Tracks” on Sirius XM.

Ben Hazlewood is the rare artist with a voice powerful enough to captivate almost completely on its own. On his latest single “Months & Miles,” the New Zealand-born singer/songwriter drifts from aching falsetto to full-throated serenade, accompanied by little more than luminous guitar tones and sparse percussion. Slow-burning yet soaring, intimate yet epic, the song perfectly captures a homesick longing as Hazlewood promises his partner that—despite the wildness of life on the road—he’ll soon make it back home again.

Produced by Joe Chiccarelli (Spoon, The Killers, Morrissey) and mixed by Michael Brauer (Coldplay, Phoenix, John Mayer), “Months & Miles” marks a major creative leap for Hazlewood: the decision to strip away all production gloss, and let his soulful vocals take center stage.

“With a lot of my music prior to this, I was often building up the production to try to make the songs bigger and more anthemic,” says Hazlewood. “But recently I’ve learned that I can achieve that sound and still keep everything really simple. Now what I’m focused on is giving the story and the emotion of the song as much room as possible.”

On “Months & Miles,” Hazlewood shows a graceful vocal command shaped by a near lifetime of singing. Born into a musically inclined family—his father fronted a number of rock bands, his mother was a dance teacher—the Wellington native started singing as a little kid and spent much of his childhood performing in musical theater. At age 14, he began creating his own music, with songwriting becoming a much-needed emotional outlet after the death of his brother. “Writing songs allowed me to express all the emotions that I wasn’t able to speak about, or even work through in my mind,” he says. “It was something very cathartic for me—a way to understand what was going on in my head.”

Not long after he immersed himself in songwriting, Hazlewood crossed paths with New Zealand-born producer/songwriter Duncan Sparks, who brought Hazlewood into the studio and showed him the ropes on production. As he continued working on his own material, Hazlewood appeared on the third season of New Zealand Idol, finishing in fourth place. He then took off for London and joined a three-piece rock band called The Scheme, spending three years writing and gigging in the UK before moving to Australia and landing a spot on the inaugural season of the The Voice. Emerging as a semi-finalist, Hazlewood kicked off his solo career and soon reconnected with Sparks, with whom he collaborated on his acclaimed 2016 EP Vanta.

In 2017, Hazlewood joined in a series of writing sessions with Gin Wigmore—a New Zealand-based artist whose music he’d long admired. With those sessions eventually yielding “Months & Miles,” his experience in working with Wigmore quickly led to the shift in his creative process. “When we were writing together, Gin made a comment that my previous music had a lot going on, and told me how my voice and my lyrics were strong enough that I didn’t need too many other elements,” Hazlewood notes. “After that my goal became to make sure that every sound on every song was absolutely necessary.”

As Hazlewood refined his musical approach, his live show also dramatically evolved. Raised on bands like the Rolling Stones and Queen, he’s begun channeling an outrageous showmanship into his performance, matching his magnetic stage presence with a glam-rock-inspired fashion sense. “In a strange way, stripping everything back in the production has made me push the aesthetic of the live show much further out there,” he says. “When I’m onstage I just try to make everything as big and full and intense as I can.”

As he gears up to release several more tracks co-written with Wigmore, Hazlewood hopes his new material will inspire a similar transformation in listeners. “What I love most about music is how a song can put you in a place of experiencing a real, honest emotion that you weren’t feeling three minutes ago,” he says. “If my music can be a guide in any way, and help people to have a moment of truth and honesty with themselves, that would be a great thing.”
