Nashville's Dead presents: Those Darlins
with Natural Child, Daniel Pujol, So Jazzy & a VERY special guest
This fall, Those Darlins will be releasing a new 7” featuring the song “Night Jogger” as a preview of what’s to come on their sophomore release, due out in early 2011.
As for now, the band is busy releasing their debut album in Japan (release date is today!, May 12th), embarking on a tour of Australia, and working on a campaign to redefine expectations of the Nashville sound.
Teaming up with DIY promoter/music blog Nashville’s Dead, Those Darlins are throwing two big parties in Nashville and Memphis this month, showcasing a few of the great Nashville bands that don’t hold weekly spots at Broadway’s honky tonks, write hits for Taylor, or back up Little Big Town. May 20 and 22 they’ll be tearing it up at The Hi-Tone and The Mercy Lounge respectively.
The first 200 people in the door at the Nashville show will receive a free pair of Blublocker Sunglasses.
Nashville’s Dead has been doing a great job of helping build a wild scene for such bands as well as cool national touring acts who normally wouldn’t think to come to Nashville. For touring rock bands, Nashville is famous for an unresponsive, pensive crowd. Nashville’s Dead throws parties full of sweat, movement and a commitment to get off! Finally, this show will keep one thing solidly old school Nashville: the city's volunteer spirit. A portion of the ticket sales from both shows will be donated to the area's flood victims.
